Working with my own coach gave me the tools to reconnect with who I am and find my purpose. Investing in myself allowed me to rebuild my confidence and take the necessary action to change my own life.
Armed with a new outlook and the understanding that if I wanted a better life, I had to create it, I was determined to make my mark on the world. I educated myself to the Master’s level and landed a position in one of London’s largest companies.
By the age of 35, I had received several promotions and had earned the position of Director of HR, becoming the youngest female board member. In my new position, I used the tools I’d learned to counsel employees who had become complacent in their jobs. I was able to help them create massive mindset shifts and up level their careers.
The inner work that made it possible for me to build a successful career also allowed me to meet the love of my life and start a family. The love and devotion we share is something I never could have imagined a few short years ago when I felt completely broken and alone, and I am grateful for it every single day.
When my son came along, everything changed for me. The importance I had placed on my career no longer fit who I had become, my family was now my priority. I still wanted to make an impact and do meaningful work, but I wanted more freedom, more control over my time and a sense of balance between my career and my personal life.
I felt stuck…could I even consider leaving a career I had worked so hard for? The corporate world was all I knew. How could I be just as successful at something else? It didn’t take long for me to realize that the skills that allowed me to help my corporate employees change their lives could help people in the private sector as well.
As a wife and mother, it’s important for me to use my experiences and the techniques I’ve learned to empower women like myself. I became a success coach to help other women find their purpose and develop the confidence to create the lives and businesses of their dreams.
